Join members and friends for an enjoyable walk of five miles with great views.

The Route

Leaving Fox House (see below for transport options) we will take the top path, which takes us above Burbage Rocks to Upper Burbage Car Park. From here we pass along Fiddlers Elbow to the top of Higger Tor, from there proceeding by Carl Wark Fort and descending to Toads Mouth and Burbage Bridge continuing back to Fox House. We should be back at Fox House by approximately 15:30, where we can have some refreshing drinks or alternatively have refreshments at Longshaw cafe. The walk is classified as Grade 2 which means paths with some moderate ascents and descents.

The walk, which has been fully risk assessed, is led by an experienced walk leader who is qualified Advanced Outdoor First Aider to level 4.

Equipment

Please ensure that you wear Hiking Boots /shoes. Bring a waterproof jacket, food and drink and a spare fleece. No dogs on this event please.

Transport

Fox House is served from Sheffield Interchange by buses 271 and 272.
If driving, parking is available at Fox House public car park and at Longshaw Car Park. (The latter is free to National Trust members). If you would like to car share, please leave a message in the comments section, whether you need a lift or you can offer one.
