Lead Lunch and Learn

Join us for a lunchtime educational workshop. Get empowered with women and non-binary leaders at this powerful educational event!

Ditch the elevator pitch- our events support connection and collaboration! At She Goes High, we don't blindly pass out business cards or ask, "so, what do you do?"

We support the human BEHIND the business, not the humas AS the business.

When: The first Wednesday of the month, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Where: Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, 225 S Meldrum St · Fort Collins, CO

Cost: Free!

Who it's for: Our events are neurodivergent-affirming and designed for introverts, by introverts. (The extroverts show up anyway!) We are a safe space and LBTQIA+ folx are welcome here!

ABOUT OUR PRESENTATION:

You've got this, right? You're skilled, competent, and qualified, and yet we all need some help some of the time. Many leaders try to do it all at work and at home, and burn themselves out in the process. What if you didn't have to do it all yourself, all the time? An essential leadership skill is managing your resources, and outsourcing what you can (both personally and professionally)!

But asking for help can be complicated. Join us for an interactive and actionable workshop to find personalized strategies to get the help you need, when you need it. In this workshop you'll learn:
-when to ask for help
-what help to ask for
-who to ask for help
-how to ask for help

ABOUT OUR PRESENTER:

Chrysta Bairre is an advocate for herself and others. As a child she grew up in poverty, surrounded by family members with mental illness and addiction, while her own non-apparent disability went unrecognized and undiagnosed. A queer woman with several disabilities, she fought to get the help and support she needed to thrive, and became a voice for unseen and under-served people like herself.

Today, Chrysta is an author and professional speaker, helping individuals increase their income and impact through valuing their own inherent worth, setting boundaries and saying no in business, and advocating for themselves. She engages and inspires on stage, speaking to employees on banishing burnout, overcoming impostor syndrome, and workplace mental health.
Chrysta is also the founder of She Goes High, a 1,900+ member introvert-friendly and neurodivergent affirming community for women and non-binary leaders in Northern Colorado. She Goes High hosts more than 30 events per year to support women and non-binary leaders in taking up their space in the world and leaving their legacy!
Her first book, Beautiful Badass: How to Believe in Yourself Against the Odds, shares stories and lessons from overcoming poverty and depression in this guide for women who want to take command of their destinies and no longer fall prey to the hardships and setbacks that previously defined them. She is currently writing her next book on the topic of asking for help.

ABOUT OUR LOCATION:

We are located in Old Town Fort Collins, west of College. Free parking is available. Depending on where you park, you can stay for 2 hours or without a time limit. Handicap parking is available right next to the building. There are wide sidewalks leading to the building and wheelchair accessible ramps on the sidewalks. The entrance of the building is level with the sidewalks.

Inside the space, you can find us in the boardroom. Once you come into the building it is the big room with the double doors between the two hallways. The space is set up with long tables in a circle. There are regular height chairs with soft backs and seats positioned on the outside of the circle at the table. As you go towards the back of the room, you’ll find a window that connects the kitchen to the boardroom. You can get complimentary coffee and tea by moving through the open doorway to the kitchen.

Restrooms can be accessed by continuing to the back, past the kitchen. Once you can’t go back anymore, turn to the left, and bathrooms are on the right. They have doors that push open. There is 1 ADA accessible toilet and 1 non-ADA accessible toilet.

We look forward to meeting you at the event!
