What we're about

We want to know who you are...not just what you do. Ditch the elevator pitch and join our community of women leaders!

She Goes High is not your average networking group - we are women rising together! We believe there is unlimited space in the sky, and that everyone benefits when we lift each other up.

Located in Northern Colorado, we educate and support professional women to do work they love, increase their income, connect with their purpose, advocate for themselves, and find happiness in and out of the office.

What makes us different?

• She Goes High was created by introverts, for introverts (the extroverts show up anyway)! We meet you where you're at - whether that's full participation or sitting quietly in a corner to observe from afar. And we'll never ask you to give an elevator pitch!

• She Goes High is focused on business and personal growth! From marketing to mental health, we work hard to deliver topics that help women elevate all areas of their lives - because you are more than just your career or business!

• She Goes High strives for relationships, not transactions. We believe building community is the best way to build ourselves. We're not the kind of group that blindly passes out business cards - we're the kind of group who gets to know you in all your beautiful uniqueness.

• She Goes High encourages you to show up as you are! Whether you're on top of the world or you broke down in tears a few minutes ago, we're here for all of it. In this community, you'll never have to "put your game face on" or pretend to smile - we value authenticity.

Lead Lunch and Learn: QPR Training - Suicide Prevention Workshop

Suicide is among the leading causes of death in the United States, and the stigma surrounding it means that few of us have had productive conversations around how to handle a mental health crisis. This presentation will teach community members the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response that can save a life. QPR is a practical and empowering course that teaches what you need to know to prevent suicide in your personal and profesional life. In this training you will learn the three steps to responding to a suicidal crisis; attendees will learn how to ask someone if they are considering suicide, how to recognize the warning signs and risk factors for suicide, how to get help for yourself, how to connect someone to appriopriate resources, and more. This training will cover QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and participants will receive 3-year Gatekeeper Certification for Suicide Prevention. QPR is a widely recognized training program that covers various aspects of suicide prevention. QPR addresses topics such as suicide statistic (trends, demographics, etc.), factors that increase the risk someone may contemplate suicide, specific warning signs to watch for, and how to have conversations with someone exhibiting suicide ideation in order to get them connected with resources to help them. Learn more about our presenters: Cecilia Reynolds: As the Program Manager for the Alliance for Suicide Prevent of Larimer County, Cecilia is found more often than not delivering the RAPP Program and working closely with youth in middle and high school throughout Larimer County. After getting her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Gender Studies from Westmont College in California, Cecilia returned to Colorado to join the non-profit world. She is passionate about community education, social justice, and road trips. In her free time, Cecilia loves spending time with her husband and their new puppy, cooking, and exploring Fort Collins. Savanna Phelan-Jones: Savanna Phelan-Jones began her work with the Alliance as a volunteer herself, then became the Training and Volunteer Coordinator in late 2019. She has a background in art from the University of Colorado Boulder. Savanna is passionate about creating supportive spaces for the community to have open conversations about mental health, and suicide prevention is near and dear to her heart; she lost her sister to suicide when she was a teenager. When Savanna is not working at the Alliance for Suicide Prevention, she can be found traveling, skipping around in the foothills, skiing in Cameron Pass, and getting creative in the kitchen. ***** Lead Lunch and Learn Join us for a lunchtime educational workshop in Fort Collins. Lead Lunch and Learn ~ Listening With Empathy & Understanding ~ Jolene Lockwood

Now is a critical time for us to listen to each other with more empathy and understanding. I'm excited to bring this research to the She Goes High community. This workshop will highlight the 5 attributes of empathy based on the research from #1 bestselling author, Dr. Brene Brown. Her research shows that empathy is the antidote for anxiety, uncertainty and fear. We will learn these five attributes and consider how we might use them in our lives. The #1 benefit will be having an awareness of the attributes of empathy and consider ways to apply this to our lives. ************************************* Jolene Lockwood has been an educator for 30 years and has over 15 years of coaching and consulting experience. She is a certified Dare to Lead™️ and Daring Classroom™️ facilitator for best-selling author Brené Brown and also does work around the world as a Cognitive Coaching Agency trainer, most recently for the Heritage Xperiential Schools in New Delhi, India.
