Shenandoah Valley Filmmakers

Shenandoah Valley Filmmakers is a group for aspiring filmmakers, writers, actors, cinematographers, editors, and anyone interested in creating independent films in the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas.
This group was created for people who are serious about making things happen, whether you’re a complete beginner, a hobbyist, or already have experience behind the camera.
I’m an aspiring director and screenwriter who has completed a feature-length script and begun filming scenes from it. While I’m still building out my equipment and resources, I’m looking to connect with other creative people who want to collaborate, learn, and eventually produce short films, features, music videos, and other independent projects together.
The goal of this group is simple: build a local filmmaking community where people can meet, share ideas, find cast and crew members, learn from each other, and help bring projects to life.
Whether you’re an actor looking for experience, a writer with scripts collecting dust, a camera enthusiast, an editor, a musician, or someone who just loves movies and wants to be involved in making them, you’re welcome here.
