This month, The Bootmakers of Toronto will consider The Adventure of the The Creeping Man.
Our eminent guest speaker will be Dr. Sara Lodge, Senior Lecturer at the University of St. Andrews, (UK). Dr. Lodge is the author of The Mysterious Case of the Victorian Female Detective (2024), which uncovers for the first time the world of real 19th-century female detectives while comparing their lives and work with the sensational myth of the female detective that flourished on the stage and page from the 1840s to the 1890s.
Our own Barbara Rusch will then inform us about Leonard Nimoy and his Sherlockian Connections. I suspect there is a reason why so many Sherlockians are also Trekkies...
Barbara Rusch will also be giving us the story wrap-up.
Karen Campbell tests our knowledge of organotherapy with a quiz, and Karen Gold will provide the musical interlude. George Vanderburgh will generously offer up new prizes for the winners!
