Bootmakers Zoom Meeting, Sept 6, 2025

Details
This month, The Bootmakers of Toronto will consider The Adventure of the Retired Colourman.
Meyers has noticed that Bootmakers love to chat and catch up with old friends at the beginning of each meeting, but it is all a little hurried as we wait for the meeting to begin. So, he has decided to try something new. A Chat Room will be open at 12:30 pm for attendees to chat with old and new friends. If you would like to participate, just login; there is nothing special that you need to do.
Our first guest speaker will be Scott Monty, BSI ("Corporal Henry Wood") who will be presenting on I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere: How a Trifling Show Led the Way in Sherlockian Podcasts. Scott is the co-host and co-creator of two of the largest Sherlockian podcasts on the web: ***I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere ***and Trifles. In this talk, he'll share the origins of both shows, discuss how they've evolved over the years, and give some highlights of the fun along the way. He may even leave time for listener questions.
Our next speaker will be Will Walsh, BSI. ("Godfrey Norton"), who will tell us whyWatson Should Have Warned The World.
The story wrap-up will be given by author Elizabeth Bardiwell, from our scion society The Cesspudlians of London. Elizabeth has been an avid Sherlockian since 1980. Several of her short crime stories have appeared in Spinetingler and Storyteller magazines.
Karen Campbell tests our knowledge of the story with a quiz, and Karen Gold will provide the musical interlude with her usual aplomb. George Vanderburgh will generously offer up new prizes for the winners!
I'll begin to let people into Zoom at about 12:30 pm ET for the Chat Room. Meeting formally begins at 1:00 as usual.
Mike Ranieri, Meyers
