What we're about

She's Coding (http://shescoding.org) is a supportive, safe place for anyone identifying as woman or non-binary person in tech. We are a nonprofit organization with the main goal to help close the gender gap in tech, which we do via:

(1) An open-source website that educates women, allies and companies about the gender gap, developed in mentorship-based volunteer groups.

(2) A mentorship program, as well as an offline and online safe community for women in tech.

And (3), an effort to support women in their tech industry job searches via events, collaborations, and a yearly conference with career fair and workshops.

We currently run monthly 'regular' meetups with lots of networking and talks by our community members, extended duration codeathons, weekly technical interview preparation meetups, as well as mock interview events with partnering companies. All our meetups are open to women and non-binary folk.

Check out our Code of Conduct (https://www.meetup.com/shescoding-seattle/pages/26921306/Code_of_Conduct/), which applies to all our meetups.

Join our Slack group (https://shescoding.typeform.com/to/fcSCQs) to keep in touch with the community and stay on top of events, announcements, and more!

[ONLINE] Data Structures and Algorithms practice (womxn & non-binary only)

Join us for a fun peer-to-peer technical interview prep session that will help prepare you for your next interview! Every week, we'll be focusing on a particular data structure or algorithm. We'll announce the topic every Monday in the comment section here with resources you can reference. On Wednesday evenings, we'll solve 2 easy level questions related to the weekly topic. Then on Sunday afternoons, we'll take it up a notch and solve 2 medium or hard level questions. How will it work? We'll split into teams to solve a problem as a team step-by-step. Then we'll break into pairs to conduct mock interviews with each other. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to attend the online event: 1.
