It is a gathering of women and their allies over five days, where we tackle the topics women in tech care about and tackle them together. The content and experiences are designed to inform, inspire, spark connections and lead to lasting relationships. Topics are diverse but center on challenges, wins, losses, aspirations, technology and career. Each session is organized as a two-hour workshop with expert panel discussion followed by small group breakouts for meaningful conversations where you really get to know your peers. You’ll also get the opportunity to connect with local non profits making a difference, learn about our conference sponsors which include many of the most innovative tech firms with a local presence in Seattle, take advantage of fun pop up events and get a free professional headshot for LinkedIn and social media at our main event! All are welcome, regardless of gender, job function or career level. ## LEARN MORE ## Check out the sessions and the itinerary at https://bit.ly/2Txmw2T

She's Coding (http://shescoding.org) is a supportive, safe place for anyone identifying as woman or non-binary person in tech. We are a nonprofit organization with the main goal to help close the gender gap in tech, which we do via: (1) An open-source website that educates women, allies and companies about the gender gap, developed in mentorship-based volunteer groups. (2) A mentorship program, as well as an offline and online safe community for women in tech. And (3), an effort to support women in their tech industry job searches via events, collaborations, and a yearly conference with career fair and workshops. We currently run monthly 'regular' meetups with lots of networking and talks by our community members, extended duration codeathons, weekly technical interview preparation meetups, as well as mock interview events with partnering companies. All our meetups are open to women and non-binary folk. Check out our Code of Conduct (https://www.meetup.com/shescoding-seattle/pages/26921306/Code_of_Conduct/), which applies to all our meetups. Join our Slack group (https://shescoding.typeform.com/to/fcSCQs) to keep in touch with the community and stay on top of events, announcements, and more! ______________________________________________________________________________________ Sponsors Please message the organizers if you or your company are interested in sponsoring She's Coding events (food, drinks, give-aways). Thanks!
Are you working on a project? Alone or in a team? Use this weekly event as an opportunity to meet with your team-mates, have access to industry mentors, advance your project, and of course, network. * She's Coding breakout room * We invite all our She's Coding members to join us at Code Fellows - we have a breakout room reserved for She's Coding (get guidance on arrival to the right room). * Mentoring Corner * Feel free to ask advice regarding your personal or group development projects from industry mentors. ** What is the Code Fellows Community Hack Night? ** To support continued skill development, portfolio project enhancements, and networking for the greater Seattle development community, Code Fellows hosts a weekly Programming Night at Code Fellows in collaboration with Seattle JS Hacker & She's Coding. Through this initiative, we provide tech talks every other week and have mentors on hand weekly to provide job search advice or offer technical guidance on projects.
Are you on the lookout for a new developer job? Do you want to brush up on your interview skills? Cracking the Coding Interview! Join fellow job searchers and coaches for a technical interview preparation session. We will build groups that go through algorithm and data structure interview questions, following the Cracking the Coding Interview (https://www.amazon.com/Cracking-Coding-Interview-Programming-Questions/dp/0984782850/) book by Gayle Laakmann McDowell (http://www.gayle.com/). Remember to bring your laptop and/or paper notebooks! We will have a couple of white boards at the space, but depending on the number of people joining, some groups might need to use laptop and paper. Also, in case you own the book, please feel free to bring your copy for reference. What is She's Coding? She's Coding is an open-source project that aims to close the gender gap in tech through community involvement, education, and empowerment. We love your involvement and are always on the lookout for passionate people of all skill sets that want to help out -- coders, designers, content producers, project managers, and more. Our meetups are safe, inclusive, welcoming, non-intimidating & beginner-friendly events. Please message the organizers if you or your company are interested in sponsoring these event (food, drinks, give-aways). Thanks!
