GRAND OPENING: Pitch the Baby, a new Women's Sports Bar in Seattle

Details

After Soccer practice, we'll be heading to Pitch the Baby, a new Women's Sports Bar opening THIS FRIDAY in Capitol Hill!

It's similar to Rough and Tumble in Ballard or The Sports Bra in Portland, and is also owned and operated by it's own group of queer women and nonbinary folks! This is their Phase 1, so expect things to only get better from here.

You don't have to come to the (Sh*t at Soccer) Practice before this to attend, but those who do can catch a ride over with me. Please bring your ID for entry.

From their indiegogo:

### What We're Creating

Women’s Sports. Front and Center.
We’re talking local legends, global powerhouses, and everything in between. If women play it, we show it—with no apologies and no afterthoughts.
Built for Sharing, Made with Heart.
Our menu blends comfort, crave, and chef-level craft - think lamb burgers, tostadas with guajillo-kissed ceviche, and drool worthy tortas. We’ve got plenty for the gluten-free and the veg-forward crowd, bringing people together over food that’s as thoughtful as the game is fierce.
Drinks You’ll Actually Want to Drink.
Think: wine bar quality meets sports bar vibe. Anais Custer is designing a menu of crushable cocktails, natural wines, and playful zero-proof options that go far beyond “well drinks.”
A Vibe that Feels Like Home.
This isn’t just a bar—it’s a community hub. We’re curating events, hosting watch parties, and building a space where you don’t have to code-switch or explain why you’re there.
