From the incorruptible bodies of the beatified to visions soaked in blood and ecstasy, this class unpacks the wild, weird, and often unsettling truths behind some of the most venerated figures in spiritual lore. We’ll explore:
-Saints who carried their decapitated heads
-Martyrs whose deaths were more horror film than holy ending
-Women burned alive, buried alive, and canonized after madness
-Relics, rituals, and the gothic beauty of sacred death
-The mysticism behind stigmata, levitation, and ecstatic visions
