Charlotte Salon is a discussion club and community at the intersection of pop culture, politics and history. Together we will grapple with some of the pressing (and occasionally not so pressing) issues of our time. If you’ve been looking for a thoughtful place to talk through topics you’ve read about online, listened to in a podcast or saw on social media, you’ve found it! Consider this Substack in the analog age.
Each meeting will explore a core question to ground the discussion. I will also provide a few core resources (articles, videos and podcasts) to review prior to the meeting. This is a space that does require pre-work so that we can start from the same page even if we have different context.
If you like to mix the low-brow with the highbrow, romantasy with classic texts, and superheroes with cultural analyses, this is the space for you!
