The author, Raymond Carver, is buried on a hill above Pt. Angeles. His tombstone is engraved, “And did you get what you wanted from this life. I did. And what did you want? To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth.”
If you could pass on one piece of wisdom, inspiration or comfort for humanity, what would you say?
This Sunday, everyone will have a chance to share the current draft of their farewell message to the world. Mike Mallory will lead. To prepare, give a little thought to the assignment and write up a short paragraph version to smooth out your delivery during our conversation.
You are also invited to the morning worship service at 10:30 that will be devoted to this subject and Mike will be speaking.
This event is free and open to all. For more information, contact darrell.udd@gmail.com

Join our Drum Circle! The first portion will feature instruction by Jeff Fenbert. Then we will move onto a free-form jam session.
We have some drums and percussion instruments to use -- if you'd like to use them, or for more info, please reach out to office@shorelineuu.org.
We're meeting in the Threadgill Hall. To get there, go between the two buildings on our campus, take a left into the Davis building (the one further from the street) and take a right as soon as you enter through the glass double doors. There will be signs there as well.
