Meet the Skippers Social – Want to be on the water this summer?
Thinking about getting out on the water this season? Want to make a bunch of new friends? This is your opportunity to make it happen.
Join us for our Meet the Skippers Social—a new SSC event where you can meet skippers face-to-face, learn about their boats, and find out how to get involved this season.
This is a relaxed, walk-around evening. You’ll be able to talk directly with skippers, hear how they run their boats, and see where you might fit in—whether that’s helping with spring prep or crewing during the season.
What to expect:
• Meet SSC skippers and learn about their boats
• Ask questions and make connections
• Sign up to help with spring prep or crew this season (members only)
• Meet a lot of people just like you, who love the water!
SSC is all about getting people on the water—whether you own a boat or not. This is one of the best ways to get started.

Beyond sailing, SSC also offers a full social calendar—docksides, kayaking, travel, and the chance to make lifelong friends!
Guests are welcome to attend and meet skippers. Crew sign-ups are reserved for active SSC members. If you’re interested in getting out with the club, we’ll be happy to explain how to join.
Whether you’re an experienced boater, new to the sport, or simply curious about life on the water, we’d love to meet you.

Please join us, twice a month, on the first and third Thursdays at 7:00 PM.
Cost: First time guests: free; Subsequent visits: $10
Drink: BYOB
Special Event Costs: Some meetings are replaced with dances. In those cases, the cost is - Club members*: $10; Non-members: $15
- "Club members" refers to active members of Shoreline Sailing Club, not Meetup members. Applications to join SSC are available on the SSC Website (click HERE (http://www.shorelinesailingclub.camp8.org/member)) or at the meeting.
- SSC members do not generally RSVP to these events.
