Exploring the Overlooked: A Post-Saunter Riverside Walk

Details
Shorewalkers’ Great Saunter does a fantastic job covering most of Manhattan’s perimeter — but to keep the route smooth, some scenic but tricky spots along the East and Harlem Rivers are often left out.
This walk is for those curious about what got skipped.
We’ll start near 116th Street, head east to reach the waterfront, and then walk north, sticking close to the Harlem Rivers. We’ll finish around 155th Street. Along the way, we might hop onto a few bridges to the Bronx — out and back — just to catch better river views and check out some of those often-missed spots.
Take the 2 or 3 subway and get off at 116th Street Station.
The hike covers about 10 miles, but there are subway stations at 125th, 135th, 145th, and 148th Streets in Harlem along the way, so feel free to hop off whenever you need.
My Thursday schedule is still up in the air, so for now, everyone is on the waitlist. Once things are confirmed, we might even flip the route and walk south from the north end (155th St Station -A or C train) instead.
