Untermyer Gardens along the OCA trail

We'll take Metro-North Hudson Line to Glenwood Station and walk the Old Croton Aqueduct (OCA) to visit Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers. About 5 miles.
From the station, we walk north on the OCA trail to Untermyer Gardens, a 43-acre park with formal gardens, statuary, and expansive views of the Hudson River and the Palisades. Entrance to the garden is free, donations encouraged. Our first stop inside Untermyer Gardens is the Temple of Love, followed by lunch/restrooms. After lunch, we'll stroll the beautiful Walled Garden, the Vista, and the Ruin Garden before returning along the OCA trail.
MEET: By the Clock in Grand Central Main Concourse at 10:00 am to take Metro North to Glenwood, departing at 10:14 a.m., or meet us at Glenwood station, arriving at 10:49 a.m. Let hike leader know if you will be meeting at the Glenwood station.
TRAIN: RT Grand Central to Glenwood on Metro-North. Train back at 2:23 pm from Glenwood.
BRING: water and lunch. There is a picnic area where we'll have lunch. Restrooms are available; however, there is no food for purchase.
