Reverse Quarter-Saunter 4-3-2-1 Countdown 2️⃣ Inwood to 96th/Riverside
Details
Another Monday, another edition of the Reverse Quarter-Saunter Countdown, as we cover the 8 miles from Inwood Hill Park to West 96th Street of the iconic Great Saunter route. This is the second quarter of the [May] Great Saunter course, except we're walking in reverse, i.e., counter-clockwise.
TWO/October 13: If you walked on October 6 and 10, you've completed one-half of 32-mile Great Saunter Route, half-way to the Fall Challenge goal. Today we add 8 more miles (moderate pace), from Inwood to 96th & Riverside.
Meeting Place/Time: Meet Monday, October 13 at 9:30 a.m., on the corner of Isham Street and Broadway. Take the A train to 207th Street. The northernmost exit of the station is on Isham. The No. 1 (207th Street) is nearby on Tenth Avenue. We'll use the restrooms in Inwood Hill Park two blocks into our walk. No lunch but we'll have a brief snack stop by the Little Red Lighthouse, roughly midway. We'll finish at 96th & Riverside.
Bring: Water, snacks, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. We will walk rain or shine.
Return: Catch the 1/2/3 at 96th/Broadway or the B/C at 96th/Central Park West. Drop-out points along the way.
