Brooklyn Neighborhood Ramble - Gowanus to Coney Island

Details
The walk will be about 10 miles at a moderate pace starting in Gowanus and ending at the Coney Island boardwalk.
We'll gather on 9th street at the entrance to the Smith and 9th Street F train subway station.
We'll walk through sections of Gowanus, Park Slope, Greenwood Cemetery, Borough Park, Bensonhurst, Graves End and Coney Island - each of them with it's own character and flavor.
In Park Slope we'll visit the Queen Anne homes on Webster Place. Then on to beautiful, verdant Greenwood Cemetery where we may have to pay $5/person, so bring some cash just in case. Warning: Greenwood will be hilly as it is built on the terminal moraine of the Wisconsin Glacier.
We will enter Greenwood at the main 5th Ave gate and exit onto Fort Hamilton Parkway. From there we'll walk through Borough Park into Bensonhurst where we will stop for lunch. Then onward to Coney Island.
Bring lunch and water.
The Smith and 9th St stop is the highest in the city with dramatic views so stop and look around on the platform! There will be numerous drop out locations.
For those who want a brew or two, we'll make a stop at Ruby's Bar and Grill on the boardwalk.
If the weather looks like it will be bad, I will cancel so please check the comments for a few days before the walk.
