Posh Bronx Loop

This is a spectacular 8-mile loop with several hills, two of which are very steep and 1/4 and 1/8 miles long, respectively. But it's worth it.

After walking through Inwood Hill Park, we'll cross the Henry Hudson Bridge with its expansive views, to reach quiet Palisades Avenue and the posh residential neighborhoods of Riverdale and Fieldston, some of the richest areas of New York.

On our way back into Manhattan we will cross Broadway Bridge. Our walk will end at the Dyckman Street subway station (A train) where we started.

Meet:
Subway station Dyckman Street (A train), corner Dyckman Street & Broadway in front of Starbucks. We will start promptly at 12 noon. Make sure to leave enough time to arrive since there are many subway delays on the weekend!

Good to know:

• Restrooms: Please arrive early to use the restrooms at the Anne Loftus Playground at the intersection of Dyckman/Riverside/Broadway or at Starbucks (with purchase). The next restroom will be at our lunch break after about two miles.
• Bring water, hat, sunblock, and snacks; no shops nearby.
• Drop out points are Metro North stations for Marble Hill, just across the HH bridge, and Riverdale, midway through the walk. The No. 1 train is accessible at the 6-mile mark.
