Mechelse heide circular walk

I'ld like to organise a nice 22+km hike in Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen (Mechelse Heide).

And does it make sense to already claim Sunday 31/08???

July hasn't finished and there's already this proposal for a walk along heather & forest & lakes and terril hills for Sunday 31/08.

Indeed, that is correct.Btw this walk will be largely different from the last time!

You are welcome to join.
We will drive in ~1h15 min from Brussels to the carpark of the local cemetery for a nice circular stroll over the Mechelse Heide (Heather)

🕥 10:15-10:30
📍 Start: Cemetery Parking begraafplaats Paul Lambertlaan, Eijsden.
🏁 End: as Start - which makes it a loop 😁
(leaving corpses behind not permitted.)🙄

📏 Distance: ~23 km
⏱️ Duration: ~6.5 hrs

Join me for a late Summer stroll which will take us through open forest and heather, with view on a couple of manmade lakes and coalmine residual terril hills.
If we are lucky the heather will be blossoming.
After ~20km close to the end of the loop there will be a nice surprise and occasion to dip the feet, or more 🏊, in the lake.
