Bluesy hike (second edition)! The Roofridders Trail.
Details
Ever wondered what happens when dancing meets hiking?
After the success of our beautiful first attempt to make you dance and hike at the same event, we are crazy enough to offer you a second edition. The idea is quite the same as in the first edition, we meet and finish at the same place as before (we just loved the Stinne bar!) but we will attempt a completely different path.
Join us for a day where smooth moves meet muddy shoes — a bluesy hike in nature (around 17 km in a flat loop). We’ll chase opportunities to dance before, during, or after the hike, depending on our energy, the weather, and the groove.
This is a very easy hike — completely flat, no climbing, beginner friendly path. If you can walk, you can dance your way through it!
Meeting Point
Café Stinne.
We’ll meet in the relaxed, easy-going café Stinne that’s happy to let us set the mood.
They’ll play any Spotify playlist we want, whether we’re dancing on the terrace (speaker provided!) or, if space allows, inside.
🕒 Agenda
12:30 – 13:30
🎶 Social Dancing warm-up (in hiking clothes)
A gentle start to get our bodies moving — no dance shoes or fancy outfits needed. If you prefer, just grab a drink and chat.
13:30 – 18:00
🥾 Easy hike – around 17 km flat loop
We’ll enjoy nature, chat, laugh, and may stop for spontaneous blues dancing moments when the vibe feels right.
18:00 – 21:00
🍽️ Dinner, drinks & dancing
We’ll finish where we started — with food, music, and relaxed dancing to wrap up the day.
🚗 Transport
Public transport is possible, but let’s say… adventurous.
Carpooling is recommended — it’s more reliable and more fun when you start the socializing early.
🎒 What to Bring
- Snacks for the trail
- 1–2 liters of water
- A charged phone (and maybe an extra battery for tunes or photos)
- Comfortable hiking clothes & hiking shoes (not your beautiful dance shoes!)
- This is an experimental event, so please bring your sense of humour and good vibes ! — and maybe a rain jacket, just in case.
💧 Weather Policy:
We don’t cancel for rain. This is Belgium — if you wait for perfect weather, you’ll never hike. Dancing in the rain just adds more soul to the Blues.
