Welcome to Shuttle Shenanigans, a Dubai-based badminton community built for people who love the game — whether you're picking up a racket for the first time or already smashing your way through competitive games.
We're here to make badminton fun, competitive, social, and actually worth showing up for.

Beginners, intermediate players, advanced players — everyone is welcome.
You don't need to worry about being "good enough" to join. We have players across different levels, so you can find games that challenge you, improve your skills, and still have a great time.
And if you're already an advanced player, you'll find plenty of strong players to test yourself against.

We put a lot of effort into organizing our sessions properly.
Our goal is simple: you came to play badminton, so you should actually PLAY badminton.
Expect well-organized rotations, plenty of games, different opponents, and a session where you're not spending half your time standing around waiting for a court.

Shenanigans isn't just a place to book a court.
It's a place to meet people, find regular playing partners, make friends, and become part of a community that genuinely enjoys being around each other.
You can show up knowing nobody and still walk away having played with a bunch of new people.

While we're big on fun, we're also serious about badminton. We regularly have strong players at our sessions, and we organize internal tournaments every month or two for those who want to take things up a notch. Because friendly competition makes things a lot more interesting. 😈
We host badminton sessions across Dubai, with 2-hour sessions at AED 45.

At Shuttle Shenanigans, we put a lot of effort into planning and organising each session. Since court bookings and player lists are finalised in advance, last-minute cancellations and no-shows can make it difficult to manage the session fairly.
Please read the following policy before signing up:
RSVP Policy
Please RSVP for all sessions through Meetup only. WhatsApp is primarily used for regular updates, attendance, timings, and last-minute changes. Requests made through WhatsApp may not be considered as confirmed session sign-ups.
Late Backouts
A cancellation made within 9 hours of the session is considered a late backout. The full session fee will still be payable, even if we are able to find a replacement.
No-Shows
If you sign up but do not attend the session without informing us, the full session fee remains payable.
Why We Enforce This
Our organisers finalise player lists the night before or early in the morning. Last-minute changes can affect the number of games and overall experience for everyone attending.
We understand that plans can change. We simply ask that you be mindful of the commitment you make when taking a spot.Waitlist
If you're on the waitlist and no longer wish to attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist. We assume that anyone remaining on the waitlist still wants to join if a spot becomes available.
First-Come, First-Serve
Spots are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis to keep things fair for everyone. Please avoid requesting special treatment or last-minute slots outside of the normal sign-up process.
