Shut Up & Write! is a global community that empowers writers to overcome procrastination, silence their inner critic, and make consistent progress on their projects. Our events provide a structured and focused environment where writers can come together, set aside distractions, and achieve their writing goals.
What to Expect
Our events use our proven formula: a few minutes of introductions, a period of focused writing, and a final check-in to share our progress. Once you arrive, our host will lead introductions, and then everyone will write for a quiet, focused period of time. Afterward, we’ll have an optional time to chat and get to know each other. Our events are a safe space for writers to work on their craft. No one will read or critique your writing.

Schreiben ist eine einsame Angelegenheit. Umso schöner ist es, wenn man sich mit anderen passionierten Schreibern verbindet und seine Leidenschaft teilt.
Sei es ein Buch, ein Blog, ein Drehbuch, ein Essay, ein Gedicht oder einfach nur etwas für den Job, du bist eingeladen, es mit uns zu schreiben. Niemand wird sehen, was du geschrieben hast, oder dir unaufgefordert Ratschläge erteilen.ZEITLICHER ABLAUF:
18:00 Uhr – Einführung
18:15 Uhr – 1 Stunde lang schreiben.
19:15 Uhr – EntspannenZu spät erscheinen ist in Ordnung: Einfach vorbeikommen und sich niederlassen, dann nach der Sitzung bei mir einchecken.

Was immer du zum Schreiben benötigst.
Bring Ohrstöpsel mit, wenn du gelegentliche Gespräche anderer Gäste blockieren möchtest.Erinnerung: Bitte dankt unserem Gastgeber durch den Kauf von Speisen oder Getränken.

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers.Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
6:00 PM - Introduction
6:15 PM - Write for 1 hour
7:15 PM - Relax/chat/connectBEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session.
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.
