Details

If you’ve just finished a story and you need some feedback, or if you’ve been coming to meetings forever and are just curious to see what your fellow writers are up to, Shut Up & Write! Critique is for you.

Each month, readers will share their work in a friendly, low-stakes environment where everyone understands the hurdles of writing. As a reader, you’ll get an immediate response to your work and be able to ask focused questions of the audience.

In the audience, you’ll get to see what your fellow writers have been up to and improve your own writing by analyzing others’ work.

More than that, it’s an opportunity to get to know your fellow writers better!

[SCHEDULE]
5:30 - 5:45 - Gather in the lobby of WeWork Fine Arts
5:45 - Go up the elevator together to WeWork space, grab coffee or water, etc.
6:10 - Begin readings & critiques
8pm - Close

[HOW IT WORKS]
Readers will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis (readers will read in order of their arrival to the group that night).

[NO SHOW POLICY]
With limited space and an ever-growing waitlist, I am instituting a strict no-show policy. If you can't make it, please change your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance. You will be given one freebie on this policy, after that, you will be bumped to lower priority on waitlists. I realize this isn't a science, but that's going to be the general rule going forward. Thank you in advance for understanding! #writingcommunity #create

Readers are encouraged to bring some paper copies for those who want to follow along and to come with a couple specific questions for the audience. No need to memorize! All genres welcome! Have fun with it!
