This will be a hybrid Marathon, so you may attend In Person or On line. The IN-PERSON meeting will take place in the Carmichael Library, Community Meeting Room. A few guidelines for the Writers' Marathon Meetup:

  1. Free Parking available
  2. Please arrive or sign in on time to avoid disturbing other writers. If you arrive late or must leave early, please try not to disrupt the other writers. Quietly find a seat and start writing. You will have a chance to sign in and introduce yourself during the break. ON LINE, join with sound remaining muted
  3. Please silence your mobile phone. If you must take a call please step out of the room to avoid disrupting other writers. Try to limit non-essential calls to the break.
  4. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and lunch. Food and drink are allowed in the meeting room only. Usually some folks bring snacks to share. Coffee will be available.
  5. If you are bringing a laptop, please make sure it is fully charged as outlets may be limited so we cannot guarantee enough for all.
  6. Meeting rooms are temperature controlled from a centralized County location and are sometimes cold, so you may wish to bring a sweater or sweatshirt.
  7. If you find you cannot make it, please change your RSVP so that others may attend in your stead.

Public Meeting Room Caution:
PLEASE CHECK BACK TO MAKE SURE THE MEETING IS NOT CANCELLED OR LOCATION CHANGED DUE TO ROOM CANCELLATION Also, Libraries may decide to cancel reservations if the county Covid 19 case load increases.

COVID-19 safety measures

Event will be indoors
Current county guidelines request masks be used by those who are not immunized. We ask that your respect others' health by wearing a mask if you are not immunized. Anyone may choose to mask of course. It is a sizable room so distance between participants can be maintained. There are a few outdoor tables as well as tables scattered throughout the library if you wish to relocate during the writing session.
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
