Shut Up & Write! Silicon Valley (CWC SF Peninsula)

• What we'll do
This is a supportive group for writers of all kinds. Whether you write for professional, personal, or other reasons, come prepared to work. Note that this is not a sharing or critique group, but you are welcome to discuss your work during our check-in time.

09:30 - Intros and check-in.
10:00 - Write for 1-1/2 hours. Or leave before then if you want a shorter session.
11:30 - Formal session ends, but you're welcome to stay longer and write more!

OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens from 9:30 - 10. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

BEING LATE IS OKAY: Just show up and get settled, then check in with me or my co-host after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.

• What to bring
Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Pre-charge your laptop as plugs are limited. • Important to know
Reserved space is limited. Please show up if you sign up or cancel your spot if you can't make it.
Please park in areas marked "Plaza Parking."
Please thank our hosts by purchasing something. As the name suggests, Penelope's has excellent coffee and tea, as well as baked goods, burritos, and omelette/waffles.
