Join us for some focused writing time. All writers and all experience levels are welcome and don’t worry, no one will see what you've written. This session is about getting your writing done and meeting other writers in your area.

9:15am: Show up, say hello, grab a drink and/or food, and get your writing tools ready. Once you’re settled, take some time to chat with your fellow writers.
9:30am: I'll lead brief introductions and goal-setting, then set the timer for our quiet and focused writing session.
9:45-11:15am: Shut Up & Write!
11:15-11:30am: Afterward, we’ll have a few minutes to chat and get to know one another. We often talk about our successes and challenges as writers. If you don’t have time to stick around, no problem!

A note about the format
We don’t host critiques or readings. These events are a safe space for writers of all skill levels and genres to work on their craft, so no one will read or critique your writing.

Writing, like finessing a building design or a sewing pattern, requires countless iterations. It is a solitary pursuit, and there is no way to let another being in when you are in the flow of your creativity. But you don't have to navigate that tussle with perfection entirely alone.

Whether you are tuning in from down the street or across time zones—and whether you're working on a manuscript, a screenplay, a research project, or an art project—this space is yours.

Join in to experience the shared architecture of silence: no read-alouds, no instant critiques, and no pressure.

Session Schedule (PDT)
• 8:45 – 9:00 PM: Brief introductions and goal setting.
• 9:00 – 10:45 PM: Quiet, focused writing block.
• 10:45 – 11:00 PM: Final check-in (and celebrating the win of simply showing up!).

As a noir writer, architect, and future cook, I realize that creativity doesn't run on a strict clock. Walk-ins and late arrivals are always welcome.

Room Rules
• Your Zoom display name must match your registered name on the platform, or you will not be admitted.
• First-time attendees are required to briefly turn on their cameras during check-in as a security protocol. Once verified, cameras may remain on or off, as you prefer.
