Shut Up & Write! is a global community that empowers writers to overcome procrastination, silence their inner critic, and make consistent progress on their projects. Our events provide a structured and focused environment where writers can come together, set aside distractions, and achieve their writing goals.
What to Expect
Our events use our proven formula: a few minutes of introductions, a period of focused writing, and a final check-in to share our progress. Once you arrive, our host will lead introductions, and then everyone will write for a quiet, focused period of time. Afterward, we’ll have an optional time to chat and get to know each other. Our events are a safe space for writers to work on their craft. No one will read or critique your writing.

No one will see what you've written or review your work. The focus is on giving yourself the time and space to work on something you’re interested in and get some writing done.
Feel free to bring your own drinks (there’s actually a great cafe just down the street called Rawbite). When you arrive buzz the bell with the Shut Up & Write sign on it! This event will be hosted in a cosy office/ studio space on the ground floor.
What to expect
RSVP on this page and please arrive 5 minutes early on the day to get settled. Our host will lead introductions and then everyone will write for a quiet, focused period of time.Afterwards, we’ll have time to chat and get to know each other. If you don’t have time to stick around, no worries!
