This week we'll trying out Canterbury in upper Capitol Hill. We'll be in the back room, which looks like an awesome little clubhouse. The staff here were quite happy about taking our reservation, so I've got a pretty good feeling about this one.
This is our regular social event. It's a chance to doodle over drinks and meet other creative folks interested in making comics and games. This event is much more social and high-energy than our quieter work-nights.
We will try to open the night up with a creative group exercise to get things started, then relax and let things become social from there. Or maybe we'll start drinking and then do an exercise. No man can say!
We are searching for a new home base.
SICAGA has grown really fast, causing us to outgrow our old meeting space. Our former hosts rather abruptly requested that we find a new location.
Please bare with us as we try out a few new locations, and PLEASE SEND US FEEDBACK!
Join our discussion (http://www.meetup.com/sicaga/messages/boards/thread/31454612/) about new venues. Take our survey (http://www.meetup.com/sicaga/polls/745392/) about best neighborhoods for meets. The mission of SICAGA is to have a fun social environment for artists, writers, coders and anyone else interested in making comics and games for fun. Most of us are visual artists, but we are very welcoming of all creative types! We do our best to make sure group games are cross-discipline, and we love to see folks team up to make awesome comics and games!
All skill levels are welcome, from aspiring beginners to seasoned pros! We aim for this to be a fun and supportive environment to network with like-minded artists. Come to get some art done, show off your projects and keep your motivation high!
