What we’re about

## NEW 18-25s Group for 2025/26 in Naarm/Melbourne

## Main Quest: survive adulthood.

## Side Quest: find your crew.

Are you 18–25 and looking for people to vibe with? Meetup is great but sometimes it feels like most groups are alot older so a space for younger people to hang out outside of bars, join the side quests, or even jump into other MeetUp events together. Whether you’ve been in Melbourne forever or just moved here, this group’s about finding friends and good times - collective interest-based connections over collective hangoevers. Maybe you’re into drawing, Marvel marathons, DnD, board games, live theatre, PC gaming or just love exploring the city and hunting down cheap eats — if that’s you, you’re in the right place.

### The End Game

SideQuest Crew is for the 18-25 crowd who want to meet up (no pressure for regularly just choose what interests you), chill out together and try new adventures to connect with others with similar interests. Expect sketch sessions for all levels, scavenger hunts through the city, gaming nights, movie or theatre trips, festivals, and casual hangs with snacks and laughs.

### What to Expect - most events will be Melb CBD or inner city

✏️ Casual drawing sessions (all skill levels welcome)
🎬 Movie meetups
🎮 Casual gaming nights/PAX meet ups/Bartronica or arcades/DnD or board games for those interested
🌆 Scavenger hunts & exploring Melbourne/ pop culture trivia nights at Fortress
🍕 Foodie Quest (food crawls around CBD/Carlton/ Brunwick or Footscray) Cheap eats + low-pressure hangouts
And maybe some volunteer opportunities later in the year (there are homeless support/charity events/clean up aus events to be involved with too!)

Totally LGBT+ friendly and international students and all will be made to feel welcomed. If you’ve been searching for connections that blend creativity, a little geek culture and Melbourne adventures — bring your awkward, shy or extra, best self along.

IMPORTANT LEGAL & GROUP RULES STUFF

  2. Repeat no-shows may be removed – it’s about respecting others’ time.

Location not specified yet

Important note - this is a small group activity starting at Flinders St so if over 5 people are interested it may have to split groups in to separate dates. I will speak to organisers and set dates based on interest so this is another one to best put your hand up for and we will roster out dates in Sept. It runs weekly all year round so you can choose to go once or regularly as suits

SMALL GROUP ACTIVITY - up to 5 participants per date as I understand it

The Outreach Program runs every Tuesday and Thursday (7pm-8.30pm) in the CBD, where a group - of 4-5 people - led by one of our dedicated Outreach Leaders directly engages with people sleeping rough in Melbourne's CBD. Through conversation and providing emergency material and food aid, volunteers are able to provide support to people when they are generally in their greatest need of social and material assistance. It lasts 1.5 hours. There may be some pre packing work required, Will update once organisers confirm.

Departing Flinders Street Station, groups of up to 6 volunteers with a 300 Blankets team leader walk a particular route through Melbourne’s CBD, sharing essentials and checking in with people living on the street.

NEXT STEPS - LET ME KNOW WHO IS KEEN. ONCE WE SEE WHO IS AVAILABLE AND INTERESTED WE CAN THEN COORDINATE TO ROSTER ON VIA THE BELOW LINK AND YOU CAN THEN DO THE WWCC volunteer step.

A MUST DO STEP BEFORE SIGNING UP -

> Visit: 300blankets.org.au/get-involved/volunteer/ click 'Volunteer' follow the prompts to sign up to Volaby roster yourself on
