NAARM/MELBOURNE SOCIAL MEETS FOR THE 18-25 CROWD
Welcome. I (Mitch) work and study in edu-gaming and started SideQuest 18-25s to ramp up my skills and meet good people along the way
We are all volunteers here putting time and effort in to making the events happen and towards making people feel welcomed. A big thanks to those who step up to host/co-host events.
MAIN QUEST: SURVIVE ADULTHOOD. SIDE QUEST: FIND YOUR CREW
We are a casual, free social group for young adults looking to connect over fortnightly board games, trivia nights, casual bouldering, and social catch-ups outside of the pub/club scene.
Any costs go direct to venues with negotiated group rates/discounts where able
HOW IT WORKS
People are from all over both new to town and long-time locals. We are all looking to make friends and we all know that first meets are often outside of comfort zones so we do best to be welcoming and make events sociable outside of the bar scene. Our events are completely free to attend, and we operate on a "pay your own way" basis for any food, drinks, or venue activities.
WE HAVE A DISCORD SERVER!
For anyone who wants to stay connected, play and chat after hours. Invites are made available after events for everyone who attended
The Discord server is there to serve the community. We don't condone using it or contacts made via the group to make breakaway groups. Inclusivity shows group respect and is our aim for everyone's benefit.
COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
- Only RSVP for an event if you're sure you can make it, and withdraw if things change. Most events have limited spaces, and we want to fill as many as possible. Repeat no-shows may be removed from the group out of respect for everyone's time
- We're all here to connect, have fun, and make friends. Remember to be friendly, and be respectful
- If you enjoy an event, we'd really appreciate a 5 star review on Meetup. It helps attract new members and future friends

Please note: This informal social group is run entirely by casual volunteer hosts. While proudly supported and sponsored by SideQuest Australia (a game-based startup), this meetup group operates independently as a not-for-profit community space. Participants attend all events at their own risk.

SideQuest organizers and hosts are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of attending group activities. FREE COMEDY The Comedy Festival comedians are gearing up for their big performances and will be using The Comics Lounge stage to perfect their craft.
Get in quick as the first 12 are reserved. Post that we need to request extra seating. Possible casual eats beforehand. Confirmation of that closer to the date

Over 2 hours of top-notch stand-up comedy
Important Notes:

Doors open 90 minutes prior to showtime, and dinner, snacks, and bar service are available from this time.

The venue seats guests from front to back as they arrive.
Dinner & Drinks:
- Our menu includes burgers, pizza, parmas, and a full snack selection.
- Explore the Joe King Menu here.
- Drinks from our fully stocked bars include beers, wines, and cocktails like The Mega Mix, Fruit Tingle, Toblerone, Sex on the Beach, and The Ninja Turtle.
Extras:
- Treats like Choc Tops, popcorn, and Bertie Beetle Showbags can be ordered directly to your table.
Drink Bottles:
- For the safety and comfort of all guests, glass bottles, metal bottles, insulated drink bottles (including Frank Green, Yeti and Hydro Flask), hard plastic bottles, and all water bottles are not permitted.
There is complimentary drinking water once inside the venue from the complimentary water tap.
Venue Information:
- Age Restriction: This is an 18+ only show. Yes this includes babies.
- Wheelchair Accessibility: Unfortunately, our venue is not wheelchair accessible.
- Bag Policy: Bags must be A4 size or smaller.

- Parking – Plenty of street parking around the Venue.
