NAARM/MELBOURNE ADVENTURES FOR THE 18-25 CROWD
I (Mitch) study and work part time in events and created SideQuest as a newbie in town to ramp up my event planning skills and meet good people along the way

MAIN QUEST: SURVIVE ADULTHOOD — SIDE QUEST: FIND YOUR CREW
Are you 18–25 and looking for people to vibe with? Whether you’re new in town or a Melbourne native, SideQuest is all about finding friends and good times – making collective connections over collective hangovers. Maybe you’re into drawing, Marvel marathons, Dungeons & Dragons, board games, live theatre, PC gaming, or just love exploring the city and hunting down cheap eats — if that’s you, you’re in the right place

WHAT TO EXPECT
We host events bi-weekly, alternating between our usual hangouts and trying new things. Our goal is to create an inviting space, and discourage cliques so everyone stays involved. So far it's been a great experience, and everyone has been amazing

Totally LGBT+ friendly and international students are welcome too. If you’ve been searching for connections that blend creativity and a little geek culture with Melbourne adventure — bring your awkward, shy or extra, best self along

OUR USUAL HANGOUTS
🌆 Exploring the city, catching a new movie, team trivia nights at Fortress
⚔️ Dungeons and Dragons one-shots, casual gaming nights, and convention meetups
♟️ Board Game Nights at Marche (they give us a sweet $6 entry deal)
🍕 Foodie Quest Cheap eats + low-pressure hangouts

And we're always open to suggestions

WE HAVE A DISCORD SERVER!
For anyone who wants to stay connected, play, and chat after hours. Invites are made available after events for everyone who attended

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

  1. Only RSVP for an event if you're sure you can make it, and withdraw if things change. Most events have limited spaces, and we want to fill as many as possible. Repeat no-shows may be removed from the group out of respect for everyone's time
  2. We're all here to connect, have fun, and make friends. Remember to be friendly, and be respectful
  3. If you enjoy an event, we'd really appreciate a 5 star review on Meetup. It helps attract new members and future friends

Boring legal disclaimer stuff: By joining or group or attending any event, you agree that you are responsible for your own safety, behaviour, and personal belongings at all times. SideQuest organizers and hosts are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of attending group activities. Participation is completely voluntary and at your own risk. Please exercise common sense, respect others, and take care of your own belongings

See you soon ;)
