Jennings State Forest Hike; Ellis Ford to Knights Landing

This is my favorite trail in this area. It is the most challenging section of the 14 mile pioneer Trail in my opinion. It meanders up and down steep ravines next to North Fork Black Creek featuring switchbacks, an overlook, and a spectacular creek side campground. It is a 2.5 mile in and out totalling 5 miles. This is an intermediate hike at the least and I tend to keep a strong pace. There will be a sweeper but this is not for the inexperienced or not properly dressed or prepared. Please wear proper attire and footwear. It would be prudent to carry water and maybe a snack. We encourage non- members to get out and hike with us! Just sign the waiver.
