Paddle Santa Fe River, Poe Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs
Details
The plan has changed due to the Ichetucknee Springs State Park's strict rules, including the 100-craft launch per day rule and limited parking.
We will launch at the Santa Fe Public Boat Ramp and paddle to the SR 47 Boat Ramp. The total paddling distance is about 10 miles downstream, and we will stop at Poe Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs, and some others. We are planning on spending some time at each spring snorkeling and picnicking, so bring snorkeling gear and snacks. There is a $6 parking fee at the SR 47 Boat Ramp.
Afterwards, we will stop at a local restaurant to refuel ourselves so we can drive home.
We are planning on shuttling, so organize shuttle partners using this app's comment section, or call the local outfitters to reserve a shuttle service:
- Rum 138: https://rum138.com/ or 386-454-4247
- Paradise Paddle Adventures: (561) 860-1511
