Sierra Vista, AZ 85650, at ten a.m. to discuss our efforts to help manage this priceless ecological gem properly by collecting data. We have been collecting data on the San Pedro River since 2011. Data collected include numerous parameters: dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, conductivity, temperature, and pH. We also collect samples to test for E. coli and copper. No special skills or equipment needed! All ages are welcome. We provide all equipment and training. We meet one Monday per month to collect data. You don't have to commit to participate every time. Data collection takes approximately 2 to 3 hours total, including travel time between data collection points. It's fun, easy and a great way to spend some time outdoors, make new friends and give back to the river that gives so much to Arizona. The training will last approximately one hour.
