FIGHTING FOR LIFE IN THE AGE OF EXTINCTION

Details

Special September Excursion
In place of our regular Political Team Meeting on Wednesday, September 10, our team will attend “Fighting for Life in the Ages of Extinction” at Fox Hall on the Eckerd College Campus. Swing by the lobby afterwards and join us for some drinks if you're up for it!
Join us for the kickoff event in our “Science, Stories and Truth” College Program Series featuring award-winning author Michelle Nijhuis. This compelling presentation and discussion will focus on significant moments in the history of the U.S. conservation movement, along with the personal stories of activists dedicated to preserving various endangered species.

By intertwining the personal narratives of both professional and amateur scientists, Nijhuis will illustrate how history, politics, and human shortcomings can complicate scientific efforts.

Free and open to the public. It is suggested to arrive early to get a good seat.

Location: Fox Hall, Eckerd College campus
