Join the Guadalupe Regional Group Meeting, open to the public and members alike to see a slide show of Art Black's trek to the Himalaya.

In August 2025, our speaker, Art Black, did an eight-day trek to a remote set of villages in the Zanskar region of the Indian Himalayas. The start of the trek was at 12,000 feet, and the highest elevation at 17,000 feet.

During the trek, he stayed at homes in two different villages. One home was 500 years old, the other 300 years old. As part of his presentation, he will discuss the impact of climate change on this high-altitude desert region.
Art sponsors a student at a charity-based school in Zanskar. This was his second trip to the region.

We'll be sharing snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Doors open at 6:30. Join us for an enjoyable evening.
