About us
Enjoy a variety of outings and events offered by the ex-leaders, as well as current certified leaders, from SF Bay Area Sierra Club Chapters.
Leaders: 3 questions to participants:
- Is there any medical reason known to you that indicates you can't do this hike?
- Do you suffer from diabetes or anaphylaxis or allergies?
- What was the last time you did a hike of 10 miles or more?

Then we will walk to the DeYoung for 9:30 entry to the Monet Exhibit.
You will need to reserve your spot and, as a member, I/you can bring a guest. Please indicate in the comments if you are a member and can provide an extra ticket OR if you would like a ticket.Time in the museum will most likely be on your own as we all do museums differently.
Who will enjoy the morning exercise? If you are an active exerciser familiar with exercises and exercise classes you might do in a gym and enjoy par courses, and you push yourself this will be super fun! If you like to stroll along, this is not for you.
Exercises will be guided and fun and outdoors with all the camaraderie we like from exercising together. Our reward will be the museum visit and here's a little more info on that:
Although Claude Monet visited Venice only once, his paintings of the city are among his most dazzling. This exhibition, co-organized with the Brooklyn Museum, is the first dedicated to Monet’s Venetian cityscapes since their debut over a century ago. Featuring more than 100 artworks, the exhibition places Monet’s Venice paintings alongside select works from across his career, including his Water Lilies, as well as Venetian views by artists such as Manet, Renoir, and Canaletto. Unlike the bustling scenes painted by other artists, Monet’s Venice is eerily deserted, its architecture, buildings, and canals dissolving in an encompassing, hazy light he described as the enveloppe. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience Monet’s vision of the famed Italian city.
