Bat Walk Along the Truckee River

Details
Come observe and learn about our local colony of Mexican Freetail Bats as we walk along the Truckee River at a moderate pace. We will begin this outing with a two mile walk east along the river and then return in time for sunset, when the bats start coming out from under the McCarran Bridge. Then, we will continue walking back to our cars to return around 9:00 pm. Bring water to stay hydrated and a headlamp or flashlight for the walk back to our cars. We will be walking on a paved path. Well-mannered dogs are welcome with leashes and baggies for clean-up.
There will be a waiver to sign at our MeetUp location and a $1 donation that helps to support Great Basin Group Outings, Program Meetings, and our Get Kids Outdoor grants for low-income schools.
