Welcome to the Pasadena Group of the Sierra Club! We organize hikes in the San Gabriel Mountains, as well as programs on local and regional conservation issues throughout the San Gabriel Valley and beyond.
You don't need to be a Sierra Club member to hike with us -- all are welcome! But if you are passionate about protecting our beautiful wild places, clean air and water, we encourage you to join and make a difference. See all- Hike to Mt. Waterman (8038')942 Wiladonda Dr, La Cañada Flintridge, CA
Join us for a hike to this picturesque peak in the high country of the San Gabriels. Our route will begin at Buckhorn on the eastern side of the mountain. Well behaved dogs are welcome. All dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet in length. Stats for the day will be 6 miles round trip with 1300' elevation gain.
You don't need to be a Sierra Club member to attend this hike -- all are welcome.
Level: Moderate.
Bring: Sturdy footwear, hydration, snacks/lunch, clothing layers, sun protection, and your filled-out medical form to show the leader (see next paragraph).
Please be sure to fill out and bring this emergency medical form: https://tinyurl.com/ycy985mt Hike leader will check to see you've completed it, then you'll carry it with you in your pack. Filling out the form in advance saves everyone's time at the trailhead. Thanks!

Signup Restrictions: If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone who has recently (within the past 10 days) been sick from or tested positive for COVID-19, please do not join this trip.
Carpools: Sierra Club will not assume responsibility for any carpool transportation risks.
Alternate directions: If you prefer, rather than meeting at our rideshare point in La Canada at 7:30, you can meet us at 8:30 AM at Buckhorn Day Use Area, which is 34 miles up Angeles Crest Highway (Highway 2) from La Canada.
