Details

Join us for a hike along pine-forested trails to Mount Pinos (8831'), Sawmill Mountain (8818') and Grouse Mountain (8650'). The panoramic views will be outstanding and the history and geology of this area are interesting as well. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a leash no more than 6 feet in length. Stats for this out-and-back route are: 10 miles round trip, 2000' gain. An adventure pass is required to park at the Mt. Pinos trailhead. You don't need to be a Sierra Club member to join this hike -- all are welcome.

At 22.5 miles there's a large paved parking area and a dirt road with a gate on the west (left) side. Park here. An Adventure Pass is required to park.
