Hike the Gabrielino Trail from JPL to Brown Mountain Dam
Details
Let's enjoy an 8-mile hike on the Gabrielino Trail, on mostly flat and shaded paths, along the Arroyo Seco to the Brown Canyon dam. We'll be crossing the stream several times, so expect to get your feet wet! We'll stop for a rest and BYO snacks or lunch near the dam. No pets please. If you have a service dog, please let one of the leaders know in advance. We expect the trip will take 4-5 hours, but we're scheduling a 2 PM end time just in case of some unusual delay.
Level: Moderate.
Bring: Sturdy hiking shoes/boots, trekking poles if you have them, adequate water (2L recommended), snacks/lunch, clothing layers suitable for the weather, optional sun hat/sun protection.
Save time at the trailhead! Go to the Sierra Club website, provide your emergency contact info and sign the electronic waiver before the hike: https://act.sierraclub.org/events/details?formcampaignid=701Po00001jAuRaIAK
