Coyote Awareness - Hybrid Program
Details
Coyotes have always been part of our local landscape, but now they're here in greater numbers than before. Tonight we'll hear from science writer and citizen scientist Jane Brackman about new research on urban coyotes, including what they eat, where they den, how they communicate, and what you can do to stay safe! Jane's work focuses on canine genetics, disease, and domestication. She has contributed to projects such as researching the diet of Southern California coyotes; coyote, bobcat, and mountain lion genetic studies in the Santa Monica Mountains; and the wolf reintroduction project in Yellowstone National Park. Program begins at 7:30; join us for socializing 7:00 - 7:30.
Can't be there in person? You can also attend on Zoom. To get the Zoom link, please register separately on the Sierra Club website here *before 12 noon on Sept. 2*.
