Southern Nevada Group Annual Picnic

Yes, its that time of year again! Please join us at our annual Southern Nevada Group of the Sierra Club Picnic, and bring the family and/or a friend! All ages and all folks are welcome, members or not! We will have cold soft drinks and water available, and will have plates and eating utensils, but you can save trees by bringing your own. We will provide a picnic lunch with vegetarian and vegan options, so please RSVP so we know how many folks we are feeding!

As always, we will have plenty of family fun time and maybe even some prizes! We promise to keep the speeches short, but we do have a theme this year: "Preserving our Precious Public Lands!" We hope that you all will beat the heat and come up and join us on these beautiful public lands, and learn a little more about all that YOUR local Sierra Club is doing to preserve them! We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, August 17th!

Once again we will be at the group picnic areas adjacent to the Spring Mountains Gateway Visitor's Center on SR 157 (Kyle Canyon Road). These areas are fully accessible and there is adjacent parking, but we do recommend that you consider car pooling with each other as there is not unlimited parking at the site. We will see you on the 17th of August! We do hope to have a few short hikes prior to the picnic; stay tuned here for more information and to sign up for the hikes!
