WNC Group of the Sierra Club is a regional group of the North Carolina Chapter of the Sierra Club.
We seek to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth. We're now on meetup.com to reach out to you with opportunities to learn about and participate in our activities such as: environmental activism, hikes, political actions, and educational opportunities. Join us for an afternoon on the Appalachian Trail where we will take a 6-mile moderately easy hike together! This is a great opportunity to learn about some of the coolest solar developments in Western North Carolina and get a view of the town of Hot Springs solar array all while being out in nature.
