This is a flat, easy, pleasant hike along Big Laurel Creek, northwest of Asheville in Marshall, near Hot Springs. The hike follows along the river for 3.7 miles to the confluence with the French Broad River (roundtrip total 7.4 mile hike) where we will stop and have lunch and then turn back. There is a minimal change in elevation and the hike time, with breaks, will be approximately 4 to 4.5 hours.
