Join us May 6 as we discuss lesser-known hikes in Western North Carolina and explore the many benefits of visiting less-popular outdoor recreation spots. This program will be presented by Marcia Bromberg of Carolina Mountain Club and WNC Sierra Club ExCom member and Outings Leader Rob Campbell.

The program will be held both in person at the Reuter Center at UNC Asheville and online on Zoom.

Marcia Bromberg is a retired university administrator who moved to Asheville to enjoy the beautiful WNC mountains. When she’s not hiking (including leading hikes for the Carolina Mountain Club) she spends her time swimming, gardening and volunteering for various community organizations. She serves on the board of MANNA Foodbank and is past board president of Friends of the MST and CMC.

Rob Campbell has spent his professional career working in the environmental field and volunteers with WNC Sierra Club as a member of the Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the Political Action Committee, and an Outings Leader. Rob currently works as a Clean Energy Policy Analyst for EQ Research, but previously spent several years working with the U.S. Forest Service to help reduce visitor impacts and conserve sensitive species on popular public lands.
