Sierra Ancha Wilderness Dayhike

This outing will be about 6 miles round trip in length with an elevation change of about 900 feet. We will start out on the Murphy Trail # 141 and then join the Rim Trail # 139 to our destination at the Pueblo Canyon overlook. You will need a vehicle with reasonably high clearance to access the Trailhead. Four Wheel Drive is not required. We will encounter a number of wilderness values during the course of this outing. The leader will talk about the wilderness history of the area as well as geology, and flora and fauna of the area. It takes about 2 and one half hours of driving time to get to the trailhead. Plan on having dinner at a nice restaurant in Miami when the trip is concluded.
