What we’re about
Spirituality and the sense of the transcendent are becoming prominent as many are rejecting institutionalised religion on the one hand, yet finding the materialistic and consumeristic life hollow and unsatisfying on the other. What do our hearts long for? What it means to be deeply and truly human? In the many flavours of such a search and amidst the varying options it may be good to investigate some ancient features of Christian spirituality. At the core is the person of Jesus and what it means to love and follow Him versus blind obedience to church dogma. Silence in the City will provide a space for people to encounter Jesus via 3 sessions of reflection, readings, silence, music, sharing. You are welcome to come and explore, to come away to silence and quiet reflection.
