Midwinter Break Screening

Silent Book Club field trip! Focus Featured has arranged for us to see a free screening of Midwinter Break. Findlay makes her feature directorial debut with this romance drama, adapted from Bernard MacLaverty’s bestselling novel of the same name.

Please note, there is a google sheet sign up that serves as the official RSVP list. I will send the link to those still RSVPd yes the week of the event. You will check in with the PR representative at the theatre.

MIDWINTER BREAK centers on retired married couple Stella (Manville) and Gerry (Hinds) who embark on a life-changing trip to Amsterdam. While there, the duo recall their courtship – and audiences are transported back in time with a younger Gerry (Ed Sayer) and Stella (Julie Lamberton) contemplating their futures. Decades later, the older couple recall their compromises for the sake of their marriage, and question if they can move forward once more after secrets from their past come to light.
