What we're about

Silicon Beach Brisbane is all about brining the tech community together. It is an informal group for anyone interested in founding or working in startups, dev/design in web/mobile tech, IoT, freelancing, investing or working with people in that space. We are a diverse bunch covering all ages, backgrounds and types, and a great first point of call for newcomers to the startup community in Brisbane.

With nearly 3000 members attending hundreds of events over the past 5-years, we couldn’t be prouder of what the Silicon Beach Brisbane community has achieved.

We also host ad hoc meetups, which are mostly social or educational events and collaborations with other meetups, co-working spaces and startup service providers. Be sure to stay connected with us, make sure you enable messages from meetup organisers and whitelist emails from meetup.com domain so they don't get treated as spam.

Silicon Beach Meetups happen around Australia ( http://www.siliconbeachaustralia.org/ ) and there is a discussion group at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/sil ...

Every startup hub globally has a supporting ecosystem that makes tech innovation thrive. So what can Australia do? How can that big island with the best beaches in the world, harness the passionate, intelligent individuals who care to do more? Let's get connected and make it happen.

No matter where you are, join us on Zoom to empower the future founders of Silicon Beach!

Please register your pitch here - https://www.siliconbeach.org.au/pitch

It’s an “elevator pitch”. No pitch decks or slides please - just you talking. After your pitch, we will invite feedback, questions & advice from our panel of expert judges and partners. This is your chance to add anything you couldn’t say in 90 seconds. There will be Zoom Breakout Rooms after the pitches for you to get audience feedback too.

There are some awesome prizes to empower you as you progress on your startup journey. Details on judges and prizes to be announced soon!

Watch the pitches at our past Virtual Pitch Nights.

You don’t have to have a startup, app, or website to pitch at our pitch night. Pitches for idea validation, looking for co-founders/tech co-founders and pitches by service providers are all welcome (we reserve the right to limit the number of service provider pitches - please get in early).

Not ready to pitch? That’s okay. You can watch and learn. We may have time for some impromptu pitches, just in case you feel inspired!

All attendees are encouraged to network and make new connections via Zoom chat during the pitches. After the pitches, there will be Zoom Breakout Rooms to provide further connections and feedback to the pitchers.
