So, you’ve heard about design thinking and you’re intrigued. Maybe you’ve taken a bootcamp, or have checked out the d.school website. And, now you’re wondering how to get the kind of mileage with the process you need to feel more comfortable applying it in your work or home life. Well then, this meet-up is for you!
The series of design Thinking monthly meet-ups will help you:
- Learn and practice a methodology that helps design products, services, and experiences to meet real human need.
- Rethink team dynamics and how office cultures communicate
- Try out new activities that will help get your creative juices flowing
- Take time to consider how to apply this methodology to business-critical operations
Instructor Bios:
At SAP, our team works with Sam Yen, Chief Design Officer,
on scaling DT. Our mission is to to use DT to help companies amplify their business strategy, uncover unique insights, and generate ground-breaking business solutions.
Alex Scully hails from the beautiful, sunny island of St. Thomas in the Caribbean Sea. As an instructor at the Stanford d.school, Alex enjoys helping people brainstorm crazy ideas, discover meaningful insights, and create products that have lasting impact. Having recently graduated from Stanford University with her Masters in Sociology, she is interested in sparking innovation and a creative culture throughout large organizations. On the weekends, Alex can be found watching movies on Netflix, Hula dancing, and free diving up to 60 feet underwater. Laura Pickel is a curriculum designer and educator. She followed her interest in education technology to Stanford University to pursue a master’s in Learning, Design and Technology. Prior to matriculating at Stanford, she spent 3 years working at an experiential semester program called CITYterm, where students used NYC as their classroom. Laura enjoys working with students of all ages, particularly around the language of learning and collaborative skills.
