Silicon Valley Unicycle Group is for bringing people of all ages together to learn, practice and ride unicycle in Silicon Valley and beyond. We offer activities such as clinics, road riding, mountain unicycling, uniball, etc. All activities are free of charge unless required for parking, venue access, etc.

Stevens Creek Trail Uni (Landels Park)

Landels School Park

RSVP closes at 8 pm the day before meetup. REMINDER: Daylight saving time is March 10, 2019. Guests on two wheels are welcome on this ride. We'll ride north on Stevens Creek Trail for 30 minutes and turn back. Distance will be determined by our pace. Turnaround spot is probably somewhere in Shoreline Park. This is a paved trail and terrain is almost all flat with some short/easy climbs/descends. Any unicycle 24" and up will do. This location is a school ground. Although there are restrooms, they are most likely locked on weekends so please plan accordingly. Drinking water fountains are available. SAFETY Helmet is required while riding. Other protective gear (knee/skin guards, elbow pads, gloves, long pants, etc.) is highly recommended. Let's ride safe. Landels Park Uni Social/Beginner Meetup

RSVP closes at 8 pm the day before meetup. REMINDER: Daylight saving time is March 10, 2019. Any skill level is welcome even if you've never been on a unicycle before. More experienced riders are welcome to come hang out and help the beginners. Also, this location has direct access to Stevens Creek Trail where you can do some distance riding. SAFETY Helmet is required while riding. Other protective gear (knee/skin guards, elbow pads, gloves, long pants, etc.) is highly recommended. Let's ride safe. EQUIPMENT If you don't have your own unicycle or protective gear, leave a comment indicating what you need: unicycle (note your inseam length), helmet, pads, gloves. Unicycle Half Marathon - Palo Alto to Mountain View & Back

Terminal Boulevard

RSVP closes at 8 pm the day before the meetup. Guests on two wheels are welcome on this ride. ROUTE The route is about 13.2 miles total (6.6 miles from Palo Alto to Mountain View, 6.6 miles back). It's 100% paved and is entirely on bike paths with no street crossings. The terrain is practically all flat with a few ramps (overpass/underpass). If you are familiar with the route (see link below), you can go at your own pace. For those who don't know the route, we'll stay together and ride at a casual pace. https://shorturl.at/jzTUW SKILLS Be able to free mount and ride for long distances. UNICYCLE Any unicycle 24" or larger is fine. Of course, the bigger the wheel size, the fewer revolutions you'll have to make and the quicker you'll finish. SNACKS & HYDRATION Bring snacks for refueling along the way. Carry plenty of water according to weather condition. RESTROOM Restrooms are available near the start/finish location. There are also restrooms along the way at Shoreline Lake Park and Whisman Park. SAFETY Helmet is required while riding.
